Dr. James Singletary
Behavioral Optometrist / OrthoKeratologist
Dr. Singletary's journey to Optometry has been both fun and filled with varied experiences. A star linebacker for his hometown 71st High School in Fayetteville, NC, Dr. Singletary came to national recognition for the ECU Pirates in the late '80's. Overcoming obstacles became his defining characteristic as he was drafted by the Indinapolis Colts in the seventh round of the 1990 NFL Draft. Overcoming injuries became his next obstacle and he eventually won a World Bowl Championship with the London Monarchs of the WLAF.
Returning to school after his football career ended, Dr. Singletary set his sights on becoming an Optometrist, ultimately graduating from The Pennsylvania College of Optometry. Since then, he has given himself over to becoming the premier Vision Therapy, OrthoKeratology and Sports Vison doctor in Eastern N.C.
